Cinelli Laser Double Decker

tell me this is a shoop, otherwise this is the end of building tallbikes. it won’t get awesomer than this.

Dead Mans Bike Project. Almost 2 1/2 years ago our friend Sammy and seven others were killed when the warehouse they were squatting burned to the ground. His tall bike hung on the wall at St. Roch Tavern until recently when it had to be taken down due to renovations. Now it’s downstairs in our shop, and we’re going to put it back on the road in his memory. We’re going to leave all the signatures and all on it, just clean the dust off and clearcoat it so they stay forever. I’ll post photos of it as it progresses.

So I just cut out the old bottom bracket and replaced it with a new non french one. Hopefully I got it dead on, or this isn’t gonna work at all.

you mean the axle/bearings, or do you mean the whole bracketpot? like litterally cutting the chainstays, the seat tube and the lower tube and welding another one back?
sounds dangerous.. couldn’t you have replaced the cups instead of the whole bracket pot?
